Applicable for Top Knots By Aimee Weddings happening amid the COVID-19 Pandemic
**Policies are subject to change due to new regulations released by the CDC, State Officials, and State Board of Cosmetology

We can’t wait to be a part of your wedding morning! Although things may look a little different on wedding mornings, we promise that the way you feel after getting your wedding hair done by our team will be the same! Our goal is to make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself that you’ve ever seen!

As we work to resume on location wedding hair, the health and safety of our brides and team members will be our priority. As a New Jersey State Board Licensed Cosmetologist, owner Aimee Beam is following the guidelines provided by the State of New Jersey and NJ State Board of Cosmetology.

If any client does not comply or agree to following ALL safety guidelines outlined below, we unfortunately will not be working your wedding.

If any client that is a part of your wedding party does not comply or agree to follow ALL guidelines below, we will not be able to style their hair.

The Following Safety Policies Apply to Weddings and Hair Trials

All stylists and all clients are required to wear a face mask at all times. No exceptions (even if you’ve had your makeup done already).

For on location wedding day work areas — we will require a separate room to perform all hair services, not to be shared with the makeup team. If you are getting married at a hotel a meeting room or separate hotel room is needed. We cannot work in suites that will be shared by the bridal party. Please communicate directly with owner Aimee Beam to confirm the work area provided for your wedding.

During on location weddings we will be operating at one client to each stylist as our maximum capacity. All artists will be working at least 6 feet apart. For example if you have booked two hair artists, only 2 clients will be allowed (one to each hair stylist) to be in the room at a time. We will not be allowing groups of women to congregate in the hair styling room. Anyone entering the hair styling room will require a face mask.

During hair trials, we have a 1 guest maximum. Guests will be required to sit 6 feet apart from Top Knots stylist and client. Guests will be required to wear a mask at hair trials.

All clients and Top Knots By Aimee Stylists will be required to sign a screening form to confirm no symptoms and no close exposure to COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Clients will also be asked if they’ve traveled to any states requiring a 14-day quarantine upon return.

Touch-less temperature checks (required by the State of NJ) will be administered. Clients with over 100.4 will be unable to get hair services and will reschedule (if it’s a trial) and will be cancelled and refunded if it’s at the wedding.

Bridal trial hair locations vary by Lead Stylist. Owner Aimee Beam will confirm where your hair trial will be. Trials by Aimee Beam are at a studio space in Norristown, PA.

For trials and wedding day appointments we are asking for clients to arrive with hair that has been washed and blown dry within the past 24 hours.

If you would like us to put in clip in extensions, please wash and dry them and bring them clean to your service.

Sanitary Actions

As State board licensed cosmetologists, we abide by mandated sanitary procedures. In light of the current situation, we are taking extra measures. Top Knots By Aimee stylists are licensed cosmetologists and all are Barbicide certified (sanitation certified).

We are asking for 30 minutes of set up time to properly disinfect our work areas. We are asking for 15 minutes of cleaning, disinfection, and hand washing in-between clients.

Each of our artists will be mandated to fully wash their hands with soap and water before services and in between each client. All hair tools and work spaces will be sanitized in between each client. Our artists will be wearing face masks and other protective equipment outlined by State Board and/or the CDC.

If a client is receiving a blow out, they can arrive with freshly washed wet hair.

Signs of Illness & Clients That Have Traveled

If anyone in the bridal party has been sick or is showing any kind of illness, they will need to cancel their appointment and will not be charged for their specific service.

Our stylists reserve the right to refuse service to anyone that appears to be ill.

If a client has traveled on an airplane, train, bus within 14 days of the wedding, or has traveled anywhere requiring a 14 day quarantine upon returning to New Jersey or Pennsylvania we will unfortunately not be able to perform hair services, and you will be refunded.

The same health screening policies apply to our Top Knots By Aimee hair stylists. If any of our stylists are presenting with any kind of illness, or have been around anyone that is ill or exposed to the COVID-19 they will NOT be working your wedding. In the event this happens another Team Stylist or stylist of our choice will be assigned to your wedding. In some cases the number of stylists that were contracted to be at your wedding may change due to last-minute scheduling adjustments needing to be made due to COVID-19 exposure.
